Sitting snugly at the head of Queen Charlotte Sound, Picton is surrounded by rolling hills and unspoilt wilderness. While away the day exploring boutique shops or enjoying a local bush walk with breathtaking views.

Auckland
Auckland is located on the north island of New Zealand, situated between two magnificent harbours, the Waitemata and the Manukau. It is the largest city in NZ and is often referred to as the ‘City of Sails’ due to the large number of yachts which travel in its waters.

Auckland city has a great range of shops including designer boutiques, markets and stalls. It is also home to many fine galleries and museums including the Auckland Museum and the Auckland City Art Gallery. Restaurants in the waterfront suburbs such as Mission Bay or St Heliers and the inner city specialise in local seafood delicacies. There are also a number of attractive public gardens and reserves surrounding the city.

The large Polynesian population in Auckalnd include Maori, Samoan, Cook Island and Tongan people whom all contribute to the city's vibrant culture. Local markets and churches in particular provide an insight to the local cultures.

Napier
Napier is a city in Hawkes Bay, on the east coast of the North Island of New Zealand. The city is famed for its Art Deco architecture which resulted from rebuilding after an earthquake in 1931. It is also known for its locally produced wines and café scene.

Other attractions include the Hawkes Bay Aquarium, Kiwi House and Marineland. There are also a wide variety of water sports on offer.

Christchurch
Akaroa is a charming historic fishing village on Banks Peninsula in the Canterbury region of the South Island of New Zealand. It is 82 kilometers by road from Christchurch. Set on a beautiful, sheltered harbor and overlooked by craggy volcanic hills, Akaroa is a popular resort town.

Many Hector's Dolphins may be found in the harbor, and 'swim with the dolphins' boat tours are a major tourist attraction. Other popular activities include harbor cruises, seal and penguin colony tours, walking, water sports and sailing.

Picton
Picton is a town in the Marlborough region of New Zealand. It is near the head of Queen Charlotte Sound near the north-east corner of the South Island. Picton is the gateway to the attractions of Marlborough Sounds which is popular with outdoor and adventure lovers.

The town of Picton offers a relaxed setting with beautiful beaches, easy bush walks and a lovely climate. Along the seafront there are many cafes, restaurants and galleries to visit. The floating maritime museum and aquarium is also worth a look. For fit and active types, the Queen Charlotte track is a local attraction which can be seen on foot or mountain bike.
